‘I still miss Liberty Lunch’

In the slew of music venues throughout Austin’s history, Liberty Lunch stands out. After the closure of the iconic hippie music hall, Armadillo World Headquarters, Liberty Lunch became the new hub for free spirits and punk rockers alike throughout the ’80s and ’90s. Despite closing in 1999, its memory still lives on in the hearts and minds of its former patrons. In this episode, Isabella Van Trease retells their stories of love, loss and music.
